Petey Pablo, an American rapper and actor from Greenville, North Carolina, rose to fame in the early 2000s with his Southern party anthems. His hit single “Raise Up” reached number 25 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2001. In addition to his music career, he has appeared in films such as “Drumline” and “Just Another Day”. Pablo has collaborated with well-known artists like Lil Jon and Usher on the hit song “Freek-a-Leek” and released albums “Diary of a Sinner: 1st Entry” and “Still Writing in My Diary: 2nd Entry”. However, in 2010, he was sentenced to 35 months in federal prison for attempting to smuggle a firearm onto an airplane. Before pursuing his music career, Pablo served five years in prison for armed robbery.
