Pia Wurtzbach, a Filipino-German actress, model, and beauty pageant titleholder, rose to international fame after being crowned Miss Universe 2015. She has also won Binibining Pilipinas and Miss Universe Philippines and appeared in various Philippine television shows and movies, such as Gandang Gabi Vice and My Perfect You. Wurtzbach is known for her advocacy work on HIV/AIDS awareness and education.
She currently hosts a beauty pageant-themed podcast called Queentuhan with Bianca and Carla. In one episode, she discussed the significance of pageantry in her life and the reality of “moving on” from it. During a recent interview with Dr. Vicki Belo, Pia expressed her support for Miss Universe contestants undergoing plastic surgery.
In 2015, after winning Miss Universe Philippines on her third attempt, Pia competed in the Miss Universe 2015 Pageant, where she met fellow Miss Universe Andrea Meza and praised their achievements in the pageant world. She has also expressed disappointment that Miss Universe Thailand 2021 Anchilee Scott-Kemmis did not make it to the top 10 of the competition.
