Nkechi Amare Diallo, formerly known as Rachel Dolezal, is an American ex-college instructor and activist who gained notoriety for identifying as a black woman despite her white heritage. She is best known for her contentious term as the president of the NAACP’s Spokane, Washington chapter. Diallo has also contributed to various projects and accomplishments, such as authoring a book on African American hair, creating artwork related to black identity, and making a cameo appearance in a music video for the band The Blow.
