Ivan Kragoff, also known as Red Ghost, first appeared in Fantastic Four #13 (1963) as an adversary of the superhero team. A genius in the field of radiation, Kragoff sought to replicate the cosmic rays that gave the Fantastic Four their powers. He exposed himself and three apes to cosmic rays, gaining the ability to become intangible and control the super-powered primates, known as the Super-Apes. Red Ghost has since been a recurring villain in the Marvel Universe, often clashing with the Fantastic Four and other heroes.

In recent years, Red Ghost has been featured in several Marvel Comics storylines, including “Secret Wars” (2015) and “Infinity Wars” (2018). He has also appeared in the animated series “Avengers Assemble” (2013-2019) and the video game “Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order” (2019).
