Ricky Tomlinson, a British actor, comedian, and political activist, rose to fame for his portrayal of Bobby Grant in the BBC soap opera Brookside and Jim Royle in the sitcom The Royle Family. He has also starred in films such as Raining Stones, Mike Bassett: England Manager, and Northern Soul, and participated in the reality show I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!. Before his acting career, Tomlinson worked as a plasterer.
