Robert Ellenstein was a versatile American actor recognized for his performances in film, television, and theater. He gained prominence for his portrayal of Jethro in the original Broadway production of “The Diary of Anne Frank” and his recurring role as Judge Paul Hanson in the TV series “L.A. Law”. Ellenstein appeared in various films, such as “The Last Tycoon”, “The Disease of the Century”, and “The Presidio”, and participated in numerous theater productions, including “Bent”, “The Price”, and “The Crucible”. In 1956, he received a Tony Award nomination for his role in “The Diary of Anne Frank”. Ellenstein passed away on October 28, 2010, at 87 years old.
