Robert Palmer, a stylish and renowned British rock singer-songwriter, was celebrated for his hit singles and Grammy-winning performances. He began his career as a rocker before transitioning to synth music in 1980 with the New Wave-inspired album “Clues,” produced in collaboration with Gary Newman. Palmer’s most famous work, “Addicted to Love,” catapulted him to superstardom in 1986. Other notable works include “Some Like It Hot” with The Power Station and “Sneakin’ Sally Through the Alley.” He earned two Grammy Awards for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance and was nominated for a Brit Award for Best British Male Solo Artist. Tragically, Palmer passed away at the age of 54 due to a heart attack.
