He played 11 NFL seasons with the Dallas Cowboys, helping them become a dominant team in the 1970s. Staubach led the Cowboys to two Super Bowl wins in 1971 and 1977 and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1985. During his college football career at the United States Naval Academy, he won the Heisman Trophy. Staubach also served in the United States Navy, reaching the rank of lieutenant and completing a tour of duty in Vietnam.
