Rory David Best OBE, an Irish former rugby union player, served as the captain of the Ireland national team between 2016 and 2019. As a hooker, he played for Ulster and was registered with Banbridge RFC. Best accumulated 124 caps for Ireland before retiring after the 2019 Rugby World Cup. In 2023, he joined the Seattle Seawolves in Major League Rugby. Among his other notable accomplishments are being named one of the most engaged athletes in November 2020 and working as Fiji’s forwards coach during their autumn tour to Europe.
