Roy Barcroft was a renowned American actor who gained fame for his extensive work in western films during the 1940s and 1950s. With over 300 movie and TV appearances to his credit, some of his most notable roles include the villainous rancher in the “Adventures of Superman” TV series, Roy Bean in the “Judge Roy Bean” TV show, as well as parts in “The Lone Ranger,” “The Cisco Kid,” and “Gunsmoke.” In addition to his acting career, Barcroft was a licensed pilot who enjoyed flying during his leisure time. Before discovering his passion for acting in the 1930s, he served in World War I.
