Ryne Sandberg, a former American Major League Baseball player and manager, is best known for his time as a second baseman with the Chicago Cubs and Philadelphia Phillies during his 16-year career. Widely regarded as one of the greatest second basemen in baseball history, Sandberg was celebrated for his exceptional defense and offensive skills, leading to his induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2005.
