Sandy Jobin-Bevans is a Canadian TV actor and writer best known for her roles in “Street Legal” (1987-1994), “Sanctuary” (2008-2011), and “Children Ruin Everything” (2022). She has also appeared in numerous other television shows and films, including “The X-Files,” “The Outer Limits,” “Stargate SG-1,” “The L Word,” “The Fly II,” “The Accused,” and “The Sweet Hereafter.”
Jobin-Bevans’ portrayal of Dr. Helen Magnus in “Sanctuary” earned her a Gemini Award nomination for Best Actress in a Dramatic Series. She also won the ACTRA Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in 1995 for her role in the film “Whale Music” and received a Genie Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in “The Sweet Hereafter.”
In addition to her acting career, Jobin-Bevans is also an accomplished dancer, photographer, and producer. She is a strong supporter of independent filmmaking and has produced several short films and documentaries.
