Shane Robert Watson, a retired Australian all-rounder cricketer, played for and occasionally captained the national team between 2002 and 2016. As a right-handed batsman and right-arm fast-medium bowler, he was known for his all-round performances in international cricket and franchise T20 leagues. Watson played a vital role in Australia’s ICC Cricket World Cup victories in 2007 and 2015. He has authored an autobiography, “Watto: Shane Watson’s Story,” and established the Shane Watson Foundation. Among his numerous accolades are the Allan Border Medal and the IPL Player of the Tournament. A music enthusiast, Watson was the guitarist and lead vocalist for a rock band called ‘Six & Out,’ which released an album in 2007 titled “Long Way From Home.” Notably, he was named the Player of the Tournament in the 2012 T20 World Cup.
