Sherry Lansing (born Sherry Lee Duhl on July 31, 1944) is a renowned American former film studio executive, most notably recognized for her role as CEO of Paramount Pictures. During her tenure, she supervised the production of numerous successful and critically acclaimed films from the 1980s and 1990s, such as “Forrest Gump,” “Braveheart,” and “Titanic.” Lansing broke barriers as the first woman appointed president of a major film studio and has been a board member for influential organizations like the American Association for Cancer Research and the Carter Center. Notably, she was also the first female movie studio head to be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
