Sonia Sotomayor, an American lawyer and jurist, has been serving as an associate justice of the United States Supreme Court since her nomination by President Barack Obama in 2009. As the first Hispanic and third female justice, Sotomayor has presided over numerous landmark cases and is an advocate for women’s rights, minority groups, and education. She has written several books, including her memoir, “My Beloved World.” Additionally, Sotomayor is a skilled salsa dancer, which has helped her overcome shyness and build confidence in her legal career.
