Derek McAllister Jr., known as Speaker Knockerz, was a talented American rapper and record producer hailing from Columbia, South Carolina. He rose to fame through his independently released tracks on YouTube, which showcased his unique style that combined elements of hip-hop, trap, and R&B. As a trendsetter, Speaker Knockerz influenced an entire generation of artists with his most famous works, such as “Lonely,” the “Rico Story” trilogy, “Freak Hoe,” and “Understand.” He was also part of the music collective Talibandz Entertainment.
A self-taught musician and producer, Speaker Knockerz learned to play the piano, drums, and guitar independently. His dedication and passion for his craft led him to build his own home studio, where he created most of his music. Tragically, he passed away in 2014 at just 19 years old.
