She is regarded as one of the most significant mystics and religious figures in the Roman Catholic Church. St. Teresa is best known for her influential spiritual works, such as The Interior Castle, The Way of Perfection, and her autobiography, The Life of Teresa of Jesus, which continue to profoundly impact Christian spirituality. Besides her literary contributions, she initiated the Carmelite Reform, leading to the establishment of the Discalced Carmelites.
