He holds the distinction of being the tallest professional basketball player in the world, with a height of 7 feet 9 inches (2.36 meters) and a weight of 370 pounds (168 kilograms). In 2010, Sun played for the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks and spent the majority of his career with the Beijing Ducks, where he won two championships alongside Stephon Marbury. Additionally, he has appeared in films such as Rush Hour 3 and The Game of Death.
