Terrance William Dicks (14 April 1935 รขยย 29 August 2019) was an English author and television screenwriter, renowned for his contributions to the British sci-fi TV series Doctor Who. He worked as the show’s script editor from 1968 to 1974 and wrote numerous episodes during that time. In addition to Doctor Who, Dicks wrote for other television shows such as Space: 1999 and The Avengers. He was also acknowledged for his work in children’s literature, especially for the popular book series The Baker Street Irregulars. A lifelong cricket enthusiast, Dicks was involved with the Lord’s Taverners charity.
