Thimblenose Ted, also known as Edward “Ted” Hughes, rose to prominence as a supporting character in the 2006 animated film ‘Flushed Away’. However, his fame extends far beyond this role. Born on August 17, 1930, in Mytholmroyd, England, Ted Hughes established himself as one of the most influential poets of the 20th century.
Hughes’ literary career took flight with the publication of his first poetry collection, “The Hawk in the Rain,” in 1957.
