Tyrus Raymond Cobb, also known as “the Georgia Peach,” was a renowned American Major League Baseball center fielder. He spent 22 seasons playing for the Detroit Tigers before concluding his career with the Philadelphia Athletics. As one of the most exceptional offensive players in baseball history, Cobb was recognized for his fierce competitiveness on the field. Notably, he was the inaugural player to be voted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. Cobb’s most prominent work is his autobiography, “My Life in Baseball: The True Record,” which Al Stump ghostwrote.
