Maila Nurmi, an American actress and TV personality, gained fame as Vampira, the creator, producer, and host of the late-night horror show, The Vampira Show. Known for her distinctive Goth appearance and dark humor, she quickly became a Hollywood star. Nurmi appeared in notable films such as “Plan 9 from Outer Space,” “The Beat Generation,” “Sex Kittens Go to College,” and “The Red Skelton Show.” Besides her acting career, she was a skilled artist, recognized for her surreal and macabre artwork.
