Walter Cronkite, often referred to as “the most trusted man in America,” was a renowned American broadcast journalist. He earned acclaim for his authoritative and unbiased reporting on CBS Evening News for over twenty years. Cronkite reported on significant events such as the JFK assassination, the Vietnam War, and the Apollo 11 moon landing. He also contributed to documentaries like “The Selling of the Pentagon” and “The Secret War in Vietnam.” In 1981, he was inducted into the Television Hall of Fame. Moreover, during World War II, Cronkite worked as a correspondent for United Press International, covering major battles and even participating in bombing missions.
