Yvette Wilson (1964-2012) was a renowned American actress and comedian, most notably recognized for her portrayal of Andell Wilkerson in the sitcoms “Moesha” and its spin-off “The Parkers.” Before transitioning to on-screen roles, Wilson started her career in the entertainment industry as a stand-up comic, touring the comedy club circuit. She later appeared in films such as “House Party 3,” “Friday,” “Poetic Justice,” and “Thea,” earning acclaim for her comedic talent and contributions to African American entertainment. Sadly, Wilson passed away at 48 after a battle with cervical cancer.
