Zina Lynna Garrison, an American former professional tennis player, gained prominence for her accomplishments in both singles and doubles events, amassing a total of 14 Grand Slam titles throughout her career. In the late 1980s, Garrison achieved the world’s number four ranking in singles and number one in doubles. Her notable achievements include being the runner-up in singles at the 1990 Wimbledon Championships, winning an Olympic gold medal in women’s doubles, and a bronze medal in women’s singles at the 1988 Seoul Olympics.

In addition to her on-court success, Garrison coached Venus Williams to a Wimbledon championship in 2005 and founded the Zina Garrison Foundation for the Homeless, highlighting her philanthropic efforts with underprivileged children. She also made an appearance in the music video for Janet Jackson’s song “Control” in 1986, alongside fellow tennis players Kathy Rinaldi and Lori McNeil, where they showcased their tennis skills in a choreographed performance.
